How can I deal with bounce backs? |

ProFundCom is able to list all of the bounce backs that have occurrence whilst sending email campaigns.
Errors can occur at multiple places in mail delivery. A sender may sometimes receive a bounce message from the sender's mail server, and other times from a recipient's mail server. With the rise in forged spam and e-mail viruses, users now frequently receive erroneous bounce messages sent in response to messages they never actually sent. Soft bounce A soft bounce is an e-mail message that gets as far as the recipient's mail server but is bounced back undelivered before it gets to the intended recipient. A soft bounce might occur because the recipient's inbox is full. A soft bounce message may be deliverable at another time or may be forwarded manually by the network administrator in charge of redirecting mail on the recipient's domain. Hard bounce A hard bounce is an e-mail message that has been returned to the sender because the recipient's address is invalid. A hard bounce might occur because the domain name doesn't exist or because the recipient is unknown. 1. Set the return email address to leave the emails on your mail server for 7 days. ProFundCom will read this mailbox once a day and extract the bounced emails into the bounced list. This is used if your mail server is POP3 based. 2. Use the product eMail Bounce Handler (http://www.maxprog.com/downloads.html), which once the return email address is set to leave the emails on the mail server for 7 days is able to create bounced lists. These can be imported directly into the ProFundCom bounced list.
