Exporting Contacts to Outlook

N.B.This is is a one-way transfer and not a synchronization. Changes made in Outlook or PDA's like Blackberrys will not be reflected at the next transfer.

 

N.B. Please make sure that your copy of Microsoft Outlook is backed up by an IT professional and can be restored.

 

To export the results of a search, simply click on the Outlook icon shown below. To export all the contacts to Outlook click on the Reset Lookup button.

 

 

The results of the search ellus.com has resulted in a match for 4 contacts in the example above. To export to Outlook, click on the icon

 

 

The following link will be shown in the webpage.

 

Clicking on the link with export the data into a Microsoft Excel csv file.

       

 

Select Open and the file will appear in a copy of Excel.

 

 

Save the file as a CSV file by going into File-> Save As

 

Once the file is saved using the Import contacts in Microsoft Outlook the contacts will be loaded in their own category called ProFundCom.

 

To load the ProFundCom contacts into Outlook, start Outlook and go to File -> Import and Export

 

 

 

At the next screen select the option Import from another program or file

 

 

At the next screen select Comma Separated Values (Windows)

 

 

 

Once that is do select Next and Browse to where the csv file download from ProFundCom is stored

 

 

 

There are three options to select. The recommended option is Do not import duplicate items.

 

 

At then next screen select Contacts as the destination of the contacts that have been imported form ProFundCom

 

 

On clicking Next the file confirmation screen is shown before the transfer occurs

 

 

ProFundCom automatically maps to the Outlook contacts and can be verified by selecting the Map Custom Fields button.

 

 

 

Select okay and from the next screen select Finish.

 

 

The contacts will be uploaded into ProFundCom and will appear as a category called ProFundCom
